Best forex and CFD prop firms

Forex prop firms sell funded forex accounts, usually after an evaluation, for trading CFDs: forex pairs, and often indices, metals and crypto too. Compared with futures firms, most allow overnight holding, leverage is quoted rather than set by contract limits, and loss limits are set as a percentage of the account. This page covers the 14 forex and CFD firms we track, ordered by how long each has been operating, longest first.

Questions about this ranking

What is the difference between a forex prop firm and a futures prop firm?

Forex and CFD firms give you a simulated balance with loss limits set as a percentage, and most allow overnight and weekend holding. Futures firms set contract limits and dollar-based drawdowns, usually trailing, and most require you to be flat before the daily close. The rule books are not comparable line by line.

Which forex prop firm has the widest drawdown?

On the 2-step programmes in this list, the widest limits are a 10% total loss cap with a 5% daily limit, and several firms offer it. A few 1-step programmes allow a 12% total loss, paired with a tighter 3% daily limit.

Which platforms do forex prop firms use?

Most firms here offer MetaTrader 5, and cTrader, Match-Trader and TradeLocker are common alternatives. Each firm page lists the platforms it offers, and the platform lists below show every firm that supports each one.
