Best futures prop firms

Futures prop firms work differently from forex and CFD firms, so their funded futures accounts are worth comparing on their own terms. Two rules decide most outcomes: how the trailing drawdown is calculated, and whether a daily loss limit can end your account. This page covers every futures firm we track, ordered by the loss cap on each firm's main programme, widest first. Some have no daily loss limit on any programme we list; the questions below name them.

Firms that did not qualify

A ranking is only useful if you can see what it left out. These firms are in the database but fall outside this page's inclusion rule.

Questions about this ranking

What is a trailing drawdown in futures prop trading?

A maximum loss line that moves up as your account grows. End-of-day trailing recalculates once at the close, which makes it the more forgiving of the two. Intraday trailing follows live equity in real time, so unrealised profit pulls the line up behind you and giving back an open gain can breach it.

Which futures prop firm has no daily loss limit?

None of the programmes we list from these futures firms has a daily loss limit: DayTraders.com, Topstep. At the others the rule can differ between programmes, and each firm page sets it out plan by plan.

Can I hold futures positions overnight at a prop firm?

Usually not. Most of the futures firms we track require positions to be flat before the daily close and over the weekend; DayTraders.com permits both overnight and weekend holding. Each firm page states the rule.
