Head to head

Apex Trader Funding vs MyFundedFutures

A 100% split, or payout eligibility every 24 hours?

Both let you pick your drawdown model. MFFU's plans have no hard daily loss limit: Builder's limit pauses trading for the day instead of failing the account, while Apex's EOD evaluations carry a daily loss limit. Apex wins on total profit retained at scale. MFFU's Rapid and Rapid EOD plans unlock payout eligibility every 24 hours once the buffer and the $500 minimum are met.

Beyond the numbers

Which one should you buy?

Our assessment of each, labelled as opinion. If the two lists below point at different firms, the honest answer is that you should buy the one whose rules your strategy needs.

Apex Trader Funding

The 100% split is how Apex's Performance Accounts pay, not a promotion. What deserves more attention than the split is the drawdown choice: the intraday-trailing variant is materially harder than the EOD one, and it is easy to buy the cheaper option without pricing that in. Buy EOD unless you know exactly why you want intraday.

Suitable for

  • Futures day traders who want a 100% profit split
  • Traders who want to choose their own drawdown model
  • Traders running multiple accounts in parallel

Less suitable if

  • You need to hold positions overnight
  • One big day tends to carry your month
  • You want a long evaluation window rather than 30 days

MyFundedFutures

Removing the hard daily loss limit is a real product decision, not a marketing line - it changes how you can trade a bad open. Rapid is the plan to look at first: 90/10 and 24-hour payout eligibility, provided you accept that the funded drawdown will chase your unrealised profit intraday. Choose Rapid EOD if you want the drawdown to sit still until the close.

Suitable for

  • Futures traders who have failed elsewhere on a daily loss limit
  • Traders who want payout access within days rather than weeks
  • Traders who want to choose between EOD and intraday drawdown

Less suitable if

  • You want the same rules across every plan
  • You cannot trade at least once a week - a new account closes after seven quiet days

Apex vs MFFU questions

Is Apex Trader Funding or MyFundedFutures cheaper?

MyFundedFutures has the lower published entry ticket at $105 against $167. Read that against the account size it buys and the $100K row in the matrix above rather than the ticket alone - the cheaper entry ticket often buys a much smaller account. Apex Trader Funding's $167 is paid upfront on the Evaluation - Intraday trailing, plus an activation fee of $89 after passing on the $25K account. Activation fees on its other sizes and programmes run from $99 to $159, and its programmes sold without an activation fee charge none.

Which has the better drawdown rules, Apex or MFFU?

Apex Trader Funding allows 4% total loss on an end-of-day trailing basis with a 2% daily limit. MyFundedFutures allows 4% on a trailing-to-breakeven basis with no daily limit.

Which pays a higher profit split?

Apex Trader Funding pays more, up to 100% against 90%. Check whether the headline figure is included or a paid upgrade - the matrix above flags which.

Which allows news trading?

Apex Trader Funding: News trading is allowed with no blackout around releases, but Apex prohibits gambling on news events. MyFundedFutures: No positions or orders may be open from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a data release, and straddle-style strategies built on news spikes are prohibited. Trading Tier 1 releases is banned outright on Rapid and Pro sim-funded accounts.

Can I trade both firms at once?

Yes, and traders often do to diversify rule risk. The one thing to avoid is running correlated or hedged positions across accounts at different firms - most terms prohibit coordinated hedging, and it is detectable.
