Price
Cheapest prop firms
Prop firms ranked by their lowest published challenge price, with a table under the ranking that shows what each price buys: the account size, the rules and whether you pay once or monthly. What a low price buys varies by market: at forex and CFD firms the cheapest challenge buys a $2.5K to $200K account, and at futures firms a $25K to $50K one. Price is only one factor: the loss limits, drawdown type, payout terms and any extra fees matter as much. Prices are before discount codes, and firms without a US dollar list price are listed further down rather than estimated.

What the price buys
The cheapest challenge at each prop firm
One row per firm, in ranking order: the account its lowest published price buys, with the loss limits, drawdown, split and payout terms that come with it. Prices marked /mo are billed monthly. Where a price is marked upfront, the programme also charges the fee shown under it after passing; the order uses the upfront price.

Questions about this ranking
What is the cheapest prop firm?
By lowest published price, the cheapest forex and CFD firm here is Atmos Funded ($5 upfront for a $200K account, plus $1,029 after passing) and the cheapest futures firm is DayTraders.com ($40 for a $25K account, plus a $5 activation fee). The lowest prices usually buy the smallest accounts, so check the account size and the rules in the table before choosing on price alone.
Are cheap prop firms worth it?
They can be, if the rules suit how you trade. A low price can come with a small account, a tight loss limit, a trailing drawdown, a consistency rule or a lower profit split, so read each row before you buy.
Are there costs beyond the challenge price?
Sometimes. Topstep and Earn2Trade bill their cheapest account monthly, so the price repeats until you pass or cancel. DayTraders.com, Topstep and Apex Trader Funding add an activation fee on top of the price of their cheapest account. Atmos Funded's cheapest account, the $200K 1-Step Nova at $5 upfront, also costs $1,029 after passing, before the funded account is issued. A failed attempt also means paying again, so a cheap challenge you fail twice can end up costing more than a pricier one you pass first time.
Which prop firms refund the challenge fee?
8 of the 18 firms here refund the fee on their cheapest account: The5ers, AquaFunded, The Trading Pit, Finotive Funding, Blue Guardian, Goat Funded Trader, FundedNext and For Traders. The timing differs: the fee can come back with the first payout, with a later one, or only if the funded account is still in profit after a set period. Check the terms in each firm's review before counting on it.
Do discount codes change which firm is cheapest?
They can. The ranking uses list prices before any code. The Promo column shows the current code where a firm has one, the Deals page lists them all, and a percentage discount can move one firm below another for the account you want.
