Forex / CFDSince 2021Dubai, United Arab Emirates3 programmes listed on PropScoutingA plan with no consistency capStatic drawdown

Blue Guardian is a Dubai prop firm, operating since 2021, that sells a 2-Step and a 1-Step challenge plus Instant accounts that skip the evaluation, in sizes from $5,000 to $400,000. The 2-Step has a static 8% loss limit; the 1-Step and Instant accounts use a 6% line that trails your highest closed balance until it locks at the starting balance. Evaluation accounts pay every 14 days and Instant accounts on demand. The 3-Step is a legacy model and no longer sold.

01

Overview

Key advantages

  • Static maximum loss on the 2-step plan
  • Wide size range from a $5,000 starter to $400,000
  • Scaling plan that can grow accounts toward $4M
  • A genuine choice of evaluation shape rather than three skins of one product

Key disadvantages

  • So many plan and size combinations make it easy to buy the wrong plan
  • Funded accounts cannot open or close trades within 5 minutes of high-impact news

Our assessment

Blue Guardian's case is the static drawdown on its 2-Step; the 1-Step and Instant accounts trail instead. The cost of the lineup's breadth is complexity: with several plans on sale, each in a range of account sizes, the firm's headline terms tell you very little about the plan you are actually buying, so read the rules for that exact model before paying.

Suitable for

  • Traders who have failed evaluations on a trailing drawdown
  • Traders who want to pick their own evaluation shape

Less suitable if

  • Your strategy trades high-impact news on a funded account
  • You would rather have one simple plan than several to choose between

Leverage

Leverage is quoted per asset class and is usually far lower on indices, metals and crypto than on forex. The programme table below carries the headline figure for each account.

04

Consistency

Caps how much of total profit one trading day may represent. Checked at the payout stage at most firms.

A consistency rule appliesBreach delays the payout

Only the Instant accounts among the plans listed here carry a consistency rule: no single trading day may reach 20% of the profit made in a payout period, or 15% on the $300,000 and $400,000 accounts. Breaching it holds back the payout request rather than failing the account. The 2-Step and 1-Step Standard challenges state none.

News trading

Restricted

News trading is allowed during the challenge. On funded accounts, trades may not be opened or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact (red folder) news, and the 2 Step Nano funded account does not allow news trading at all.

EAs and algorithmic trading

Allowed

EAs are allowed, including ones you set up to suit your own strategy or trading style.

Weekend holding

Allowed

There are no restrictions on holding trades overnight or over the weekend on any account type.

Overnight holding

Allowed

Positions may be held overnight on every account type.

Copy trading

Restricted

Copy trading is allowed only between accounts legally owned by the same account holder. Copying another trader's account, or running a trade copier with accounts you do not own, is not permitted.

Hedging

Restricted

Hedging within a single account is allowed; hedging between separate accounts is strictly prohibited.

Other restrictions worth knowing

  • The 2-Step's maximum loss is static; the 1-Step and Instant lines trail the highest closed balance until they lock at the starting balance.
  • Account sizes run from $5,000 to $400,000, with a low-cost $5K starter plan.
  • Blue Guardian sells several plans, each in a range of account sizes, so read the rules for the specific plan rather than the firm's headline terms.
  • The scaling plan adds 30% of the initial balance after 12% profit within three months, growing accounts up to $4M.
