News trading
~RestrictedRestricted on some accounts. News trading is allowed on Futures Prime, the Stocks Challenge, CFD Instant and CFD Prime accounts up to $50,000. On CFD Prime $100,000 and $200,000 accounts, in the challenge and the earning phase, you may not open a trade or have a pending order fill from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a high-impact release; trades already open may be closed.
EAs and algorithmic trading
~RestrictedYour own EA is allowed on every product as long as it does not copy signals that are not yours, run latency, reverse, hedge or arbitrage strategies, trade at high frequency or use an emulator. On CFD Prime $100,000 and $200,000 accounts it must also keep out of the news window, and stock trades must stay open at least a minute. Accounts using a prohibited EA are refused upgrades and payouts, and the fee is not refunded.
Weekend holding
~RestrictedDepends on the product. CFD Prime accounts may hold positions over the weekend, and so may CFD Instant accounts except in commodities, energies, metals and crypto, which are closed 10 minutes before the Friday close. Futures Prime and Stocks positions are closed before every session ends, so nothing is carried into a weekend.
Overnight holding
~RestrictedDepends on the product. CFD accounts may hold positions overnight. Futures Prime positions still open five minutes before the market close are closed by the firm's risk managers, and Stocks positions and orders are liquidated 10 minutes before the close.
Copy trading
~RestrictedCopying is allowed only between accounts you own: across any number of your CFD accounts, up to five futures accounts and up to two stock accounts, and from an external account that is yours. Copying other traders or outside sources is prohibited.
Hedging
~RestrictedDepends on the product. On futures you may not hold a buy and a sell position at the same time, within one account or across accounts. On CFD Prime and Stocks accounts, hedging within one account is allowed for risk management; hedging across accounts, or hedging arbitrage, is not.
